Troop 392 was first chartered on April 1, 1975. Our original charter
was with Aldrin PTA, with meetings held at Frost Junior High. We
started with five 11- and 12-year-olds and 4 adults. Our chartered
organization changed to Mallard West Apartments, back to Aldrin
School, back to Mallard West Apartments, to Robert Frost Junior
High, to Concerned Parents of Frost, to the Schaumburg Elks
Lodge # 2423, in 1992, to Our Saviour’s United Methodist Church.
We chartered with SSPCC456-1, NFP for 2023 & 2024. We
moved to the Schaumburg AM Rotary in 2025.
In our 50+ years, we have been as small as 5 youth, and as large
as 75 youth. Coming to Our Saviour’s United Methodist Church in
1992 gave us stability, and it was there that we awarded our first
Eagle Scout rank in November 1992. We have given the rank of
Eagle Scout to 104 young men since 1992. Since then, we have
always had Eagle Scouts as active members of the troop acting
as role models for the younger Scouts.
Over the 50+ years, we have been led by a small number of
Scoutmasters. Nineteen men have guided our troop during that
time, but there have been many more men and women who have
dedicated time and energy to the boys.
